Valens GroWorks Corp (CSE:VGW) released their first episode for their “Extracted” podcast on October 29. The podcast is hosted by industry insiders Kayla and Chris and will run bi-weekly on Mondays. The podcast will be discussing the various medical and lifestyle elements associated with the cannabis plant.
This week’s episode focused on Canadian legalization and joining Kayla and Chris was cannabis advocate Jamie Shaw. Shaw talked about how Vancouver “missed the hype” of legalization as many dispensaries had been in operation for some time. However, she did point out that the dispensaries did experience long line ups as expected. The conversation then turned to the recent police raids that have been happening in areas such as Toronto and Port Alberni, which was surprising to Shaw as many provinces and consumers are still waiting for legal sales channels to be approved.
The trio also talked about the products that have hit the market so far and how the restrictions placed on packaging are creating cannabis education concerns. Due to the restrictions, dispensaries and educators are facing difficulties in discussing the benefits, effects and differences between the various strains can have on an individual. By not being able to discuss the differences a specific strain can have could potentially result in a bad experience and can turn away repeat customers.
